Mr. Crim, III talks to the people during his morning walk. He discusses an incident that occurred in July when the JPD, during a traffic stop, broke a window to detain three young black people from Joliet. According to Mr. Crim, III the routine traffic stop became aggressive when the police asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. Mr. Crim, III feels that a citizen does not have to step out at a law enforcement’s request. The situation apparently escalated from there. Mr. Crim, III planned in the video to attend the Joliet City Council Meeting that night. He also mentioned an ongoing investigation of a current JPD officer that has a discrimination lawsuit against the city.
